Bridge Musicians International is bringing an elegant evening of classical music to Richmond for one night only this Friday, November 7th. Dr. Scott Meek, an award-winning pianist who has debuted as a soloist with some of the leading orchestras in Canada, will perform with cellist, Kevin Park, violist, Manto Poon, violinist, Jiln Kim, and fellow pianist, Ross Salvosa. According to Dr. Meek, performing with Bridge Musicians International is a wonderful chance to be a part of a chamber music performance:

“The BMI is a group formed by cellist Kevin Park, as an opportunity for professional musicians who are finished music school to have chamber music performance opportunities,” says Meek. “This is easy to do while attending a music university, but in the professional world, it’s much more difficult to organize. I’m thankful to be part of the group, and look forward to many concerts in the future!”

The evening’s program includes:

  • Beethoven’s Sonata for Cello & Piano No. 2 in g minor
  • Tangos for piano 4-hands by Piazzolla, Villoldo, Gardel and Miranda
  • Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E-flat major

The concert is taking place at South Arm United Church, 11051 No. 3 Rd, Richmond. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students/seniors and can be purchased here.  If not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door.
